Bandwith defined at client vs. class

Postby patric » Mon Mar 01, 2010 6:23 pm

Hi

I do not understand the details of bandwidth configuration. I can supply a value at the level "class" and "client" and both are mandatory.
What does this configurations mean? Why are both values mandatory?

Could anybody give me some explanations?

Thanks a lot

Hi Daniel

Thanks for your answer.
Actually I do not understand why the bandwidth must be defined at the "class" and "client" level. What's the difference between these two values?

What means "Hierachical token bucket" ? :D , something arborsecent like a tree, all clients have their own classes under classes and some filters, so, all clients from a class, togheder must have bandwidth and limit as parent class, theoretical, write?
